Our registered nurses are available 24 hours a day for emergencies and do routine check-up rounds as frequently as is needed. Jura Home Care is geared specifically towards those with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of Dementia as we offer caregivers specifically trained to care for loved one’s with Dementia. Our trained caregivers are familiar with the different forms of Dementia, the stages of the disease, how it manifests, common behaviors, strategies to adequately deal with behaviors, and safety issues related to Dementia.

First, we establish a personalized care plan to focus on the likes, dislikes, and personality of the individual, and activities are planned accordingly to stimulate one’s memory. This may include a plethora of activities like looking at photo albums, listening to music, doing an art project, reading, dancing, meaningful conversation, animal therapy, etc.

    The first step is for us to send you the assessment forms to determine the kind of care you or your loved one requires and gather all personally relevant information. We have a rapid care response system that offers quick service when an unexpected situation presents itself.

    Our caring staff specialize in the care of people with forms of Dementia like Alzheimer’s. They provide assistance with companionship, personal care, incidental transportation to doctors and other service providers, medication monitoring, light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, etc. We also provide assistance with grooming, dressing, monitoring for bath safety and all other Dementia related symptoms.

    All services and schedules are tailored to the needs of the individual client and caregivers are available for daily, weekly, overnight, 24 hour or live-in assignments.

    Our caregivers are employees of the Jura Care Village and are involved in the caring for our full-time residents living with Dementia.  They received ongoing training and have the skills, heart, attitude, personality and experience to care compassionately for a person living with Dementia.

    From the beginning, we ensure that we provide the best and most compatible caregiver match for you or your loved one. If, for any reason, the caregiver placed is not working out, we will work as quickly as possible to place a new one in the position. This is one of the great benefits of using Jura Home Care.

    This is a very rare event. But if it does occur, Jura Home Care offers a system that enables the caregiver to “clock in” and “clock out” by calling an automated number. If a scheduled shift has not been called in, the system alerts the office staff immediately and we send a secondary caregiver.
