Worry not for the tortoise who hauls all his belongings with him.
The tortoise stands effortlessly still, and still effortlessly it stands.
How appropriate it is, that the Jura Care Village shall be home to two tough tortoises.

The tortoise says: ‘Eternity weathers and wilts only to those fixated on seasons and silks,
Let us embrace the twisting tail of life, told by the tapestry maker, interpreted by the carpenter and baker.
Life may shadow us in its shell and we may struggle, we may stagger,
Crawling for hope in an unearthly manner,
lost in the numbing compartmentalization of his own infinity,
nervously gasping,
hastily grasping for any sign of light.
Eternity comes to those who hear the tortoise tread truth,
Where the darkness of life’s rugged shell may well be the nurturing hearth of life’s wombly haven.
The tortoise is not a prisoner of his own shell,
So let us not worry about the tortoise of tomorrow when today requires only that we dance our dance.’

Lorraine, one of our residents cared for these two since only a few centimeters and now here they are, a full 25 + years of care later.
Now they care for her, a great activity it is for her to search for them in the garden.
She talks to them and touches them. In the photo above she is introducing one of our residents to the younger one of the two.

And so the Jura Care Village family keeps growing; each with their own dance to dance.
