People who work with those with dementia will tell you it is perhaps the most painful life work they have ever done.

Most people caring for, and involved with, people who have Alzheimer’s and Dementia know how touching, inspiring, enriching, powerful and stimulating it is to care for these people. Yes, it is most likely a rollercoaster of despair and joy, grief and grace. It’s those beautiful up’s that make the sad down’s of the rollercoaster so worth it! And it is when love shines through that makes caring for these wonderful people so incredible and touching.

And for those who live with the gift of caring, it is also a blessing and a privilege, a profoundly human and deeply spiritual experience.
